Here’s an inexpensive Miracle Wand Christmas idea using a simple shiny garland with some battery-powered lights.
We’re using a dowel that we spray painted silver because it matches the garland, but the natural look works too.
None of our videos require more than $5 worth of decorations from the local dollar store!
Use zip ties to hold the battery compartment onto the bottom of the dowel, then trim the ends off. You can either tie it straight onto the dowel like this, or use zip tie mounts.
Wrap the lights around the dowel loosely, and tighten them at the top to hold them in place. Do the same with the garland. You can use cable ties here too. Wrap some ribbon around the battery compartment to conceal it and give it a finished look.
